Eleanor K. Testimonial

March 24, 2002
Dear Kathy,
I just wanted to let you know how much my wife, Mary Ellen, and I appreciate the physical training program that you and Yvonne Jackowski provided to our daughter, over the past several months. Before Eleanor started coming to your training facility, I know she had some doubts about her ability to pass the upper body strength requirements for admission to the Air Force Academy. To be honest, I had some doubts as well. However, when Eleanor and I first came to meet you and I saw that you had already looked up the Air Force Academy’s physical fitness requirements on the Internet, I knew that you would see to it that Eleanor received the training she would need.
As you know, Eleanor passed the Air Force Academy’s physical assessment exam in late January with room to spare on all events. Mary Ellen and I are convinced that she wouldn’t have done it without the training program you and Yvonne put her through. Finally, about ten days ago, Congressman Pats Toomey called to let her know that she was getting an appointment to the Air Force Academy. The official notification from the Academy arrived in the mail a few days ago. I’ve enclosed a copy of the letter so you can see the end result of your work with Eleanor.
I’ve also enclosed a copy of an article that appeared in Saturday’s Morning Call about Hanover Elementary School in Bethlehem. As a former Hanover student, Eleanor was asked to speak at a reception to honor outstanding test scores achieved by last year’s fifth graders at school. The timing was perfect, since she was able to encourage youngsters by telling them about her goal to become an astronaut, and about her recent admission to the Air Force Academy. As you can probably tell, Mary Ellen and I are pretty proud of her.
Once again, Kathy, you have our thanks for the part you played in Eleanor’s successful admission to the Air Force Academy. Beyond providing her with the strength training, you and Yvonne also gave her much more confidence in her overall physical abilities, and you have both made a lasting impression on her as two outstanding female role models. Eleanor is now diligently doing the strength exercises she learned at your facility in our basement. That coupled with the aerobic conditioning now that the soccer season has started should keep her in good shape until she starts her basic cadet training at the Air Force Academy in June.
We’ll keep you updated on Eleanor’s future progress. Who knows, maybe someday she may be able to invite you to Florida to watch her being launched in outer space!
Sincerely,
Charles J. Kunesh
